James Splond , baritone

James Splond, native of Las Vegas, Nevada, received his undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  After a career as a professional dancer, he attended Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, and received a Masters degree in vocal music.  Mr. Splond has performed with Monterey Opera, The Forest Guild Theater, Nevada Opera, Southern Nevada Opera Theater, Regal Opera (Dallas),and the Civic Theater (Allentown), among others.  An award-winning and accomplished educator, he has been invited to many colleges and universities as a guest lecturer and clinician; he is currently engaged in rebuilding an urban high school’s choral-music program from the ground up.
