Jeeminn Lee, Mezzo Soprano

Jeeminn Lee, mezzo soprano, has a distinctive, classically-trained voice full of fire and passion. Critics have described Lee's performances as romantic, exciting, powerful and vibrant!
Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, she studied voice at Kyungwon University under Tenor Jungkeun Lim. Ms. Lee earned her Masters degree at St.Petersburg National Conservatory under world famous Mezzo Soprano Irina Bogachova and Soprano Galina Kovaliova.
Upon completing her vocal studies at the St.Petersburg National Conservatory, Jeeminn launched her professional operatic debut with the Mussorgsky & Mariinsky Opera Theatre singing the role of Kontchakovna in Borodin's Prince Igor where she was hailed as a fine singer and actress. She then went on to perform roles such as Carmen in Bizet's Carmen, Ulrica in Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera, Suzuki in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Amneris in Verdi's Aida, Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Polina in Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame, Maddalena in Verdi's Rigoletto, The Witch in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Rosina in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, earning high praise and respect.
Her voice ranges from a very low contralto to coloratura.
Just as comfortable on the concert stage, Jeeminn has been a soloist at the United Nations' official rememberance service of 9/11 in New York, the Opera Gala Concert with KBS Symphony Orchestra, New York Grand Opera, Mussorgsky Opera Orchestra, St.Petersburg Chamber Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Buchon Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean National Symphony Orchestra, Delaware Symphony Orchestra, St.Petersburg Broadcasting Orchestra and with many others.
