Chad Kranak, a “powerful-voiced tenor, who boasts stunning high notes”, (blogcritics.com) is excited to return to Ars Musica after making his debut as the tenor soloist in Mozart’s Requiem last fall. This past season, Chad returned to St Petersburg Opera to cover the role of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, and also premiered a number of new works including Alex Weiser’s opera State of the Jews, Felix Jarrar’s The Ulster County Songbook, and Leaves of Grass: Whitman by Paula Kimper. Most recently, Chad covered the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Long Island Lyric Opera. Upcoming engagements include Handel’s Messiah with Sequoia Symphony, Rinuccio in Regina Opera’s Gianni Schicchi, and a recital of Paul Bowles music at Lincoln Center in March.
