Are you a choral singer whose regular chorus takes the summer off?
Do you love to sing any chance you get?
Do you just love listening to classical music?
Then the Ars Musica’s Summer Sings are for you!
Amateur and experienced singers, as well as listeners are all encouraged to attend.
This year’s Summer Sings are extra special: we will be welcoming our new Music Director, James Kennerley, who will lead us in some of the greatest choral works of all time. They’re also a great way to meet fellow singers and music lovers. For those looking to join the Ars Musica family, audition information will be available on both occasions.
Ars Musica Chorale has been presenting its popular series of Summer Sings, open readings of beloved choral masterworks, since 1997. We provide the conductor, venue, piano accompanist, soloists, music scores, and YOU are the chorus! These Sings are friendly and informal yet still offer a high quality of musical performance.
We will all sing through a beloved choral standard, and then enjoy an after-party, with beverages and snacks included.
So please join us this August at the Ars Musica Summer Sings—sing, eat, drink, and be merry!
Sings will be held on Tuesday, August 1st and August 8th, at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
